If you do not like the crowd, and just want to enjoy peace and nature, then this here is the right spot! While you are on Jackmans Flats, don't miss the Lichen Loop trail, it is 2.3 km long and includes 12 interesting interpretive signs. A natural lichen garden! At the trail beginning you will find a map, this allows you to follow the easy signage on the different trails!

These beautiful trails treat you all the way with fantastic views at the Rocky Mountains and Caribou Mountains! X-country skiing and nature of its finest is guaranteed here on this trail, that has something to offer for all skiing abilities!

2.....Camp Creek
The Camp Creek cross-country ski trail system treats you to spectacular scenery. It is located 14 km south of Valemount, 2.5 km off highway 5 on the plowed Camp Creek Road. It offers a cross-country trail system for all skiing abilities. You will find great snow for a fun day of skiing on the regularly groomed trail! At the trailhead you will find a cook shelter and picnic tables for your convenience.
